Cardiff Council has announced that it is to replace the existing paddling pool in Victoria Park with a splash park. The new plans don't offer children any opportunity to swim. My little boy is very upset at the idea of losing the pool, and I'm sure lots of other children will be too! Victoria park lido serves communities across Canton, Ely and further afield. For some children in the area, it's one of the only opportunities they get to swim. Losing the paddling pool would be a huge disappointment and we urge the council to reconsider their decision.
