Ask our leaders to "Stop Paving Paradise" and drop the plans for the 3rd bridge

The Issue

I feel that Cape Cod's #1 most valuable asset is its natural environment. People from all over the world travel to Cape Cod to experience the Cape's beaches, bays, harbors, estuaries and woodlands. But recently the Mass DOT clear-cut thousands of trees along the mid-Cape highway, and now Mass DOT officials want to build a 3rd automobile bridge across the Cape Cod Canal. I feel the conversation ought to be focused around ways to preserve Cape Cod's natural habitat, instead of further urbanizing Cape Cod and turning the Cape into a city. I feel now is the time to shift our focus towards preserving the Cape's natural habitat, and we can start by asking our leaders to "Stop Paving Paradise" and drop the plans for the 3rd bridge.
