Dear Supporters,

A quick note for transparency: On February 24, I revised parts of the petition's wording. The original phrasing unintentionally upset some folks; they felt it didn't accurately reflect what they wanted and, upon reconsideration, preferred no affiliation with it in that form.

My goal in updating was to better represent a wider range of voices and perspectives, ensuring the petition speaks for many in our community rather than centering on just one viewpoint. I believe this makes it stronger and more inclusive overall.

The core purpose of the petition hasn't changed, and all signatures including the 70 from the original version still support that mission. For your reference, I'm including/attaching the original wording below.

I'm open to all reasonable comments and feedback...please feel free to share thoughts, suggestions, or concerns. Your input helps refine this effort, and I appreciate your continued support and understanding. Thank you for being part of this.  That said, as an unpaid volunteer and just a messenger in this effort, I want to be upfront: I can't respond to multiple emails per day, especially back-to-back or late at night. Please give me some grace and leeway with response times and expectations...I'm doing my best, but this is all on a volunteer basis. Your patience and understanding mean a lot.
