It's about a year since the campaign launch and so it's time to take stock. Yesterday Armando thanked me for walking with him on his journey. I have to pass that on to you. If it wasn't for your response he didn't know where he would be now. THANK YOU. It's 9 months since he moved house and is still not fully settled but he is finishing off making the most of his new space and surroundings. It's three months since he put up a wire antenna. This has endured several orders to remove it. So well done� Now the rub. Armando submitted a planning application - mindful that of the opening meeting and subsequent correspondence saying that East Kent Housing would check that planning permission would be available at his new place. As the application progressed we monitored the process and kept in touch with RSGB. The bad news is the planning officers have decided to refuse planning permission on the grounds of visual amenity. This goes to a planning committee on 6th December. We have drawn up a plan to test the process because we think it is defective. In the mean time we have alerted his local councillor to that. And asked him to review the letter. As he is big on the planning committee his attitude to the plan is quite hostile. We asked him to investigate EKH role in this and are contemplating whether Armando will get a fair hearing. It's plainly not over yet and I will be delivering a copy of all your comments updated in the next week. In the mean time please continue to share the petition and ask others to sign.
