A subclass of the freeze fixed by replacement of a faulty CMOS connection

Our fellow Sydneysider Raymone Farruggia, rang me to advice that a Canon service rep told him they found the fault in his 5diii. He was told the connection to the CMOS was faulty and had been replaced. As official email from my Canon contact lead confirmed this case was different to the freeze we reported earlier, and was treated a a one off job, I encourage everyone still having the issue to bring their cameras in for inspection. Emmanuel had the motherboard of the camera replaced as commented by the same Canon service rep, "just in case".
