Stop the cancellation of the CVC Yr 12 Ball

Stop the cancellation of the CVC Yr 12 Ball
The issue
For most teenagers the Year 12 school ball is a right of passage. We are asking that the cancellation of the ball be reconsidered. Giving 4 weeks notice is unreasonable, large amounts of money have already been spent! The Year 12 students spend everyday of the week together and then interact in the community with the general public, whether it be socially, part time work or even community sport. CVC has mentioned they cannot guarantee the safety of the students if they attend this event! The event that will be attended by the same students who spend every weekday together and some teaching staff, event and hospitality staff who are all required to be double vaccinated to work anyway! Other local schools have held their balls with appropriate measures in place; double vaccination proof and RAT testing. We feel the out right cancellation is a cop out!
Come on CVC have a heart and don’t deny the class of 2022 this opportunity!
