There is a category 4 hurricane on it's way through Florida. It is already in effect, and MDCPS refuses to cancel schools! This is a major risk for students, storms are very dangerous. Even if it isn't a hurricane in Miami, it is still a hazard. Cancelling school is the safest choice to make, save our children!

Hurricanes in the past have changed paths many times. Students and their families need time to prepare, and need the day off since streets will be dangerous to get to school and home. The safety of children is claimed to be a priority, so why not protect our kids and cancel school? In fact, it's so dangerous, Miami has 8 weather warnings.
