Cancel IB Externals in Jordan 2026
Cancel IB Externals in Jordan 2026
The Issue
IB students in Jordan are facing extreme stress and serious mental health challenges as externals approach. Unlike the UAE, Kuwait, and other countries where exams were canceled, we are expected to sit exams under higher grade boundaries and unfair conditions. Many students’ families live in war-affected areas, ongoing sirens regularly sound, and people are getting injured in Jordan, making it almost impossible to study or focus safely. Even if exam papers have already arrived, there is still time to cancel these exams, preventing overwhelming pressure and potential lasting harm. The pressure is immense, and our wellbeing and safety are at risk. We urgently call on the International Baccalaureate Organization to take immediate action and cancel the externals in Jordan so that students are treated fairly, safely, and humanely. Please take this into consideration and act in the best interest of students’ safety and mental health.
