The Netherlands has decided to ban Hamsters, chinchillas and many more amazing pets. Starting July 1st 2024 they won't be allowed to be sold and bought anymore, they won't be allowed to be bred and born anymore. These animals will be put away in a glass little cage for years and some will even get put to sleep cause of lack of space. They're not just pets they have feelings just like us. And they deserve just as much love and attention as we do. If there's anyone that knows about how much love pets like hamsters and chinchillas can give, that would be me. I've been going through a rough depression for a couple years now and I even had to drop out of school for it, I adopted/rescued a hamster I named her Luna, she had been through a lot just like me. I was literally on the verge of ending it all until she came along, this little ball of fur looking at me with her big precious eyes. We immediately connected, she'd crawl onto my lap or in my shirt and we'd watch movies together. I didn't feel sad anymore about not having friends, because she became my friend. I graduated a couple weeks ago and am receiving my diploma soon. Sadly, Luna passed away 2 nights ago. But I'd like to think that she had a good life, iknow I can't replace her, but I can try and help pets like her. We can't let these precious babies go to waste. Sign and help us cancel the abandoning and hurting of all these pets. And if we can't do that, at least help us save some of these precious animals by putting in an age limit to purchase one of these animals.
