Whilst we have nearly met our first goal we still need your help. We need to keep pushing, we need to have our voices heard.  This is not just about patients and families this about the doctors and nurses that have tried to speak up.

The consensus that I have received through emails is that medical professionals and patients are worried about signing this petition due to any backlash that they may receive. THIS IS BULLYING and this is NOT OK. No one should be fearful of speaking up.

Whilst our medical professionals have done so much in the last couple of years, they should be supported when they speak up about safety as they are on the floor seeing first hand what is happening. The same with patients and carers when they speak up they should be supported. These are some of the comments that have been sent through:

”This was the case back in the 1990s – I find it very hard to believe instances of bullying have declined – it’s deeply ingrained in to the culture”

”The answer to fixing this issue is with the clinicians. They know exactly where the system is failing, and it’s obviously not just money. No more consultants doing BS reviews, no more strategies by pollies and cover ups by hospital management types. Clinicians and patients need to be front and centre”

Please keep sharing this petitions not just for the injustice to patients but for all of the medical professionals that stand up or are not allowed to have their voices heard!

xx
