Too many elected representatives of Canadians have too little influence on the decisions taken by parties. I don’t know if they're selected by the parties for what they won’t bring to parliament on behalf of their constituents or if they simply learn on the job. I don’t know what happens that makes the promises of elections turn into the excuses of government. What I do know is a growing number of Canadians are tiring of the result.
It's time to consider the daily events of parliament. If you decide the person elected to represent your riding doesn't properly and fully represent the principles, hopes and intentions of the community than electing the best alternative is a democratic responsibility. Electing independents with no party affiliation is a viable option but it requires action. Complaining is no longer adequate.
