The week of October 20th, 2014 could prove to be the week when Canada decides to do reconciliation work – be a witness.
Beginning Monday, October 20th Dr. Lynn Gehl's section 15 Charter challenge regarding the sex discrimination inherent in the Indian Act whereby Indian and Northern Affairs Canada's (INAC) unstated paternity policy is harmful to Indigenous children will be heard in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto.
