Hi all, I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 9,900 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support! We won the battle to officially rename the Gray Jay to Canada Jay. However, the fight is not over to have this iconic Canadian bird officially declared as Canada's National Bird. Despite strong public support and a moderate wave of pressure on the Canadian government. we missed an opportunity to recognize this resilient, gregarious and uniquely Canadian bird as a national symbol of Canada. It is not too late to make this change, in fact this could be one of the good news stories coming out of the pandemic.
