Petition updateCanada Post: Stop Sending Right Wing Extremist PaperSurge in Anti-Asian Violence, Additional Steps Taken

Earlier this month I formally submitted our petition to Canada Post CEO Doug Ettinger and the senior management team via email (as well as their media and communications team, to give them every opportunity to respond). It has been seven days and we are still waiting on their response.

In the meantime, there has been a surge of anti-Asian violence across America, and we know this is not just limited to south of the border. One of the brave Canada Post mail carriers that was suspended for refusing to deliver The Epoch Times, Ramiro Sepulveda, informed us directly that this was the primary reason he took action. One of his colleagues was the victim of an anti-Asian attack while working, when someone threw a bottle at her and yelled "go back to China."

This bigotry is very real in Canada, and The Epoch Times contributes to an atmosphere of hate through its language, far-right views, and misinformation.

Finally, based on advice from Ad Standards Canada, I have formally raised this issue with the Canadian Marketing Association. I look forward to their feedback and recommendations.

Thank you, and please be kind to each other.
