My also-adopted brother contacted a Search Angel quite a while ago.  This Search Angel put quite a bit of work in to trace his bio family even 'though a gag order was placed on his adoption (the Province of our birth is British Columbia).

Last weekend he was fortunate to meet his biological father.  During their meeting, his bio father told him (among other things) that he and his bio mother were in love.  My brother's bio mother decided to put a stop to their daughter being a young parent and put the wheels in motion that would result in my brother being taken from her at birth.  His bio father told him that he was only allowed to see his son for a second or two before my brother was whisked away forever - until last weekend.  The two of them found out that they share a lot of things in common and had a wonderful visit ending with his bio father calling him "Son" when they parted.  I'm sure it won't be long before they meet again.

Sadly, this whisking away of new-born babies and the cruel behaviour by biological grandparents, Canada and our Provincial governments isn't an isolated incident and this has happened to tens of thousands of infants all across Canada. 

Many adoptees who were born into the period of Forced Adoption of Post-War Babies Born to Unwed Mothers (mid 1940s to the 1970s) are still searching for answers - who we are, where we come from, who do we look like, and are there any medical conditions we should be aware of.  For many adoptees and bio parents it's too late for a reunion, but YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  Please read the petition (including the link in it) and share the petition with your friends.  Please post the link on your Social Media accounts.  Sign the petition and if you have the means, please make a contribution to Change.org who use this money to advertise the petition on various Social Media platforms.  Don't forget to read the comments while you're on the site - and leave one of your own.   Here's the link:  CANADIAN FORCED POST-WAR ADOPTION PETITION
