The rural village of Uley has been fortunate to have a dispensing surgery in the village for decades, serving our community and surrounding villages. Now the surgery is under threat of CLOSURE, with thousands of patients needing to potentially adjust to travelling to another surgery more than 4 miles away. Furthermore the proposed move to Cam surgery site will not benefit patients living in Cam (who will not be able to use the dispensary as it can only dispense to patients who live over 1.6 km away to a pharmacy). The sparse bus service is not accessible to many patients who have relied upon walking to the local surgery or neighbourly support. As a result many families without cars, elderly and vulnerable patients will no longer have the easy access to the services they have always enjoyed. Our thriving village relies on the current amenities and community spirit, please help support this rural community by signing this petition and helping our voices be heard!
