Hello and Salam, 

I want to start off and emphasize how much your support means. Without each and every one of your signatures, this issue would've never gained as much traction as it has. The link to watch the 3 minute speech is attached at the end of this message.

A couple weeks ago at the end of February, I attended the Gwinnett county school board meeting. There I discussed the importance of having this holiday off for Gwinnett students in front of all of the board members. For this request to go through at least three of the five members must say yes. Members, Everton Blair Jr. and Dr. Tarece Johnson claim to be on board, and we have confidence Karen Watkins will approve it as well although she has not directly made any statements. 

The 2022-2023 calendar was already confirmed on 12/16/21. With that being said, I plan to continue to present to the board again later in the year when they approve the 2023-2024 calendar. There is a survey that is sent out before the calendar is approved to get input from citizens. More information will be sent out about that later.
