We have exciting news to share - Evie’s Bark has officially been tabled in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly!

On Thursday, 22 May 2025, Mr Andrew Mackay MLA presented the petition to the Legislative Assembly calling for Immediate Action to Protect Companion Animals.
🐾 It is now formally recorded as: Item No. 293 – Petition 12

Thanks to your support -1,495 voices stood up for the safety, recognition and respect our pets deserve. This is a major milestone - and sends a clear message that Pet Guardians agree "our pets’ lives do matter".

We’re now awaiting a formal response from Minister Gerard Maley, expected within 12 sitting days.

📅 What’s next?
The petition will remain open until the upcoming impending Parliamentary debate in July. While new signatures won’t be formally tabled, each new signature still shows growing support.  Currently our petition sits at 1857 signatures! 

In the coming weeks, we’ll be reaching out to all Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to raise awareness about Evie’s Bark and highlight the importance of our petition in protecting companion animals. Our goal is to ensure every MLA is fully informed ahead of the Parliamentary debate scheduled for July.

We’re also proud to share that we’ve established meaningful connections with several animal welfare organisations across Australia. This will help us to continue raising awareness at the federal level, strengthening our mission of Evie's legacy nationwide.
