Reverse the decision to refuse the main planning for Preston N.E's - Ingol development.
The Issue
*UPDATE - A NEW REVISED APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED*
On Thursday 22/06/18 PNEFC Submitted a new proposal, which includes less housing areas and more public parkland.
However - We still need your support to get as many signatures on this petition to support this new revised application.
The city of Preston's only professional football club, a founder member of the football league and original double winners have ambitions of a brand new state of the art training facility at the defunct Ingol Golf club in Preston.
On Thursday 15th June 2017 Preston City's Councils planning committee refused outline planning for the development of housing, public parkland and the much needed facility that is required to help the club push on to the top flight. Whilst new housing is always controversial this area of Preston is full of new developments on a huge scale. This proposal was very small in comparison and the councils comments of wanting to avoid a 'urban sprawl' seems very inappropriate for this area.
The committee voted 4-3 against the motion with one even abstaining.....
PNE have released the following statement:
"The Council's decision today to refuse the main planning application involving a new training facility, gifted open space and residential development is a major blow to our aspirations, and therefore the city's aspirations, of us achieving our Premier League ambitions.
We will now reflect on the way forward, knowing that whatever we ultimately achieve will be without the support of the City Council."
Whilst we understand that that a change of heart is unlikely from the council and the club may appeal, as supporters which to show Preston Council the huge support for the plans from both PNE Supporters and the Preston Community as a whole.
Please remember the councils own planners recommended approval.
The council may not support the city's football club but lets show them that we do care and won't stay silent on this issue.
