From Laddie Williams: To Mr Gale & Ms Socorro Smith-Yumul: Now that our local elections are over, I'm back trying to understand how this lot tie (550 E San Juan & 554 E San Juan Ave) came about with community opposition ( letter you have seen from our former President Mike Newhouse). The term" ministerial' confuses me tremendously, so please elaborate. My thoughts which could be incorrect would mean that the single family dwelling that straddles the lot line would be the new out of scale and character single family dwelling home that is being erected as i type? Ms Smith-Yumul if you would be so kind to elaborate because after viewing the documentation that you forwarded me it appears to be that two lots were joined together to form one lot with a huge structure on it that the community did oppose and it appears Los Angeles city approved? We in the Venice community are intrigued how this came about under a Venice Sign Off, opposition from the community and it being a Mello determined property and out of scale and character in the neighborhood hasn't been answered? Ms Socorro Smith- Yumel I would like to publicly request a CPRA on the above stated property 550 E San Juan and 554- E San Juan Ave Venice CA 90291. The Venice community would like some explanation on how two lots were combined so easily? If you would be so kind to send the material that I have requested so we in the community can look at it and get our local architects and LUPC committee to assist us in the neighborhood to understand this process it would be greatly appreciated. This out of character Mc Mansion that is crossing two lots is quite puzzling to our Venice Community. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter, and some understanding from all of you who this email is addressed to on how lot tying was done in our coastal zone.
