Call to the Canadian House Of Commons for Dis/Misinformation Reform

Call to the Canadian House Of Commons for Dis/Misinformation Reform
The Issue
We, the people of Canada, to whom all political representatives have been appointed to serve, deserve to be well informed with factually accurate and truthful information.
In this day and age there is no excuse, reason or place for elected officials to be purveyors of misinformation or disinformation, and all who do so should be held accountable and responsible for their misleading and abuse of the public trust.
We, the voting public, request reform in the House of Commons, including but not limited to, the addition of live fact-checking of representatives, clear communication and transparency of the full scope and intent of proposed bills, and more upfront, public-facing reporting of the vote casting for every member of government when voting on proposed and passed bills.
We also request a system of accountability with real consequences for those elected officials who repeatedly spread misinformation and disinformation, and whom fail to comply with full background and security checks on affiliations or fiscal transparency for the sake of national security. Any elected officials who refuse these terms should be released from their position and seat, with no future eligibility to run for any political seat or position. We propose a three strike system, including fines, for each offense.
Canada's future is at dire risk of falling to fascism and the power of individuals and entities both foreign and domestic. Misinformation and disinformation are the greatest tools of those who seek to divide and confuse the public, and should be considered an act of treason, NOT freedom of speech. The voting public and every citizen of Canada, deserve the highest level of transparency and accountability from our government, and to trust that the officials we have appointed to represent us are doing so honestly and responsibly, and that we are informed and represented by those who are also informed.
Please hear our voices and heed our requests.
Concerned Canadians.
