Dear Supporters,
On November 6, 2025, the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) issued its official written response following the October 2 EPPP Town Hall. In that response, CAP explicitly refused to amend the lifetime limit on EPPP attempts and confirmed it will proceed with the policy as implemented. Since that decision, CAP has indicated no willingness to reconsider or revise the policy.
At the provincial level, the Government of Alberta has stated it will not intervene. The Fairness for Newcomers Office review opened in June 2025 remains unresolved, the Alberta Ombudsman cannot act while that review is active, and federal correspondence has been acknowledged but not acted upon. As a result, there is currently no active oversight mechanism addressing CAP’s refusal to change this policy, despite extensive advocacy and documented harm.
For transparency, we have linked CAP’s November 6, 2025 written response and the October 2 Town Hall presentation materials below.
