Call to Action! 2026 is near.....
The Issue
The state of the nation has prompted many to worry about those sworn into power—the elected officials who promise to serve and protect the interests of the citizens they represent. My worry is deeply personal as it involves my friends and family members, who are either disabled or retired. They struggle every day just to make ends meet. The money they receive barely sees them through to the next month. If, by some stretch, it does, it means they've had no choice but to skip a bill, forgo their medication, or cut meals from their day.
These are not choices they should have to make when living in one of the world's most affluent countries. The responsibility for these conditions can be traced in part to elected Republicans who have remained silent, thereby betraying their oath of office. This silence, in the face of their sworn duty to protect all constituents, leaves a void where action and advocacy could make a meaningful difference.
Republicans who stand by quietly are becoming complicit in the erosion of trust and the destabilization of the well-being of not just my loved ones but many across the nation. Their silence is consent to the status quo, which neglects the vulnerable.
It is crucial these officials be reminded of their pledge and be held accountable for their inactions. Accountability must mean more than waiting for fraudulent policies or criminal activity; it means holding them responsible now for their silence and their betrayal of the American people they swore to protect.
Demand transparency and vocal support from every elected Republican. Urge them to stand up, speak out, and work for the citizens, including those most vulnerable to today's economic challenges. The oath they took was not just words; it was a promise—a promise that demands action.
Sign this petition to show that we are paying attention and that we will not allow their silence to go unchallenged.
