It was recently revealed by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that Erin McClelland, a candidate for Pennsylvania State Treasurer, violated campaign finance rules on multiple occasions. According to a complaint filed by other Democratic officials earlier this year, McClelland "demonstrated a pattern of disregard of campaign finance laws and regulations." These allegations are made against Erin not only in her current run for Treasurer, but her previous campaigns for other offices as well. 

This is not the first time that McClelland has engaged in ethically questionable behavior. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Communications Director for McClelland's campaign is also a reporter. Experts and common sense say that this is a clear conflict of interest.

Dark money has been a negative force in politics for far too long. In an age where millionaires and billionaires decide the outcomes of elections, it's important that we hold public officials and those seeking public office accountable to campaign finance rules. 

A formal complaint was filed earlier this year with the office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General, but no action has been taken. Please sign this petition to call on the Pennsylvania Attorney General to investigate perceived illegal behavior.
