Stop Treating PC Players as Second-Class Citizens in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Why This Petition Matters
For more than two decades, PC players have helped build the Call of Duty franchise into one of the largest and most successful gaming communities in the world.

We have supported the franchise through every generation.

We have invested in high-end hardware, high refresh rate monitors, premium peripherals, custom-built gaming systems, and years of practice mastering mouse-and-keyboard gameplay.

Yet with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, a growing number of PC players feel that their platform is no longer being treated as an equal part of the Call of Duty ecosystem.

This petition is not about demanding advantages.

This petition is about demanding fairness, transparency, optimization, and respect for the PC player base.

The Problems
1. Poor Utilization of Modern PC Hardware
PC players invest significant amounts of money into their gaming systems with the expectation that game performance will scale accordingly.

Many players are reporting that Modern Warfare 4 does not appear to take full advantage of today's most powerful gaming hardware.

Whether this is the result of engine limitations, optimization issues, or design decisions, the end result remains the same:

Players who purchase flagship CPUs, flagship GPUs, and high-refresh-rate monitors increasingly feel that their hardware investment is not being fully utilized.

The issue is not whether 240 FPS is enough.

The issue is whether players who invest in the most powerful gaming hardware available are allowed to fully utilize it.

2. Controller Aim Assist and Competitive Integrity
Crossplay was introduced to unite the gaming community.

Instead, it has created growing concerns about competitive balance.

Many mouse-and-keyboard players feel they are competing against controller users who benefit from aggressive Aim Assist systems that can significantly influence close-range engagements.

We are not asking for the removal of Aim Assist.

Controller players need assistance for analog-stick aiming.

What we are asking for is transparency and balance.

Competitive outcomes should be determined primarily by player skill, not by differences between input devices.

3. Lack of Transparency
The Call of Duty community deserves open and honest communication regarding:

Engine limitations
Performance scaling
Frame-rate behavior
Crossplay balancing
Mouse-and-keyboard competitiveness
Future PC optimization plans
Players should not be forced to depend on speculation, community testing, social media discussions, and reverse engineering to understand how the game behaves.

Transparency builds trust.

Silence destroys it.

4. Competitive PC Gaming Is Being Left Behind
For years, Call of Duty on PC represented the highest possible skill ceiling.

Mouse-and-keyboard gameplay rewarded precision, reaction time, movement mastery, and mechanical skill.

Today, many veteran PC players are leaving the franchise because they feel:

Their platform is no longer a priority.
Their hardware investments are not being respected.
Their feedback is not being heard.
Competitive integrity is being sacrificed for broader engagement metrics.
Every year more long-time PC players walk away from Call of Duty.

That trend can still be reversed.

But only if the concerns of the PC community are acknowledged and addressed.

What We Are Asking For
We respectfully call on Activision, Infinity Ward, and Beenox to:

✅ Publish transparent information regarding PC performance scaling.

✅ Investigate reports of limited performance scaling on high-end PC hardware.

✅ Improve support for ultra-high-refresh-rate gaming.

✅ Re-evaluate controller Aim Assist behavior in crossplay environments.

✅ Introduce optional input-based matchmaking.

✅ Improve communication with the PC community.

✅ Treat PC gamers as an equal pillar of the Call of Duty ecosystem.

✅ Ensure future updates continue to support the capabilities of modern gaming hardware.

Our Message
We are not asking for advantages over console players.

We are not asking for the removal of controller support.

We are not asking for special treatment.

We are asking for a game that respects the capabilities of modern PC hardware and the skill of mouse-and-keyboard players.

If someone invests in a high-end gaming PC, a high-refresh-rate monitor, and years of experience mastering their input device, that investment should matter.

Crossplay should create a fair battlefield, not a system where players feel forced to switch input methods simply to remain competitive.

The PC community has supported Call of Duty for decades.

We deserve transparency.

We deserve optimization.

We deserve competitive integrity.

Most importantly, we deserve to know that our platform is valued as more than an afterthought.

Today this petition is about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Tomorrow it is about the future of competitive PC gaming.

If you believe that player skill should matter more than platform favoritism, if you believe that modern PC hardware should be allowed to perform at its full potential, and if you believe that every player deserves a fair and transparent experience, then stand with us.

Final Statement
The issue is not whether 240 FPS is enough.

The issue is whether players who invest in the most powerful gaming hardware available are allowed to fully utilize it.

Because fairness is not about giving one platform an advantage over another.

Fairness means allowing every platform to perform to its full potential.

PC players have stood by Call of Duty for more than twenty years.

Now we are asking Call of Duty to stand by its PC community.

Sign this petition and help bring the voice of PC players back to the table.

Respectfully,

The Global Call of Duty PC Community
