As we close out the year, I’m grateful to share that the petition has reached 1,000 signatures!  This milestone is a testament to the care and concern our community has for making the “Jail Hill” section of Highway 16 safer for both wildlife and drivers.

Over the holidays, I haven’t been driving that stretch as often, so I don’t have updates on recent wildlife collisions.  However, seeing the new deer crossing signs installed - something I wasn’t notified about but noticed myself - gives me hope.  It feels like a step in the right direction and maybe a sign that more improvements are being discussed.
