I received notice that another deer was hit this morning at 5:30 AM on “Jail Hill”. Sadly, this has become almost a daily occurrence.  Over the past few weeks, multiple deer and even a moose have been struck in this area.

I urge drivers to be extra cautious on this stretch of Highway 16, especially during early mornings and evenings when wildlife is most active.

On a positive note, we are now at 881 signatures on the petition, and a couple of organizations have reached out to express their support. They will be sharing our petition with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, which is an exciting step forward in our push for change.
