Hello Everyone,

News for celebration!!! We have reached our first major goal of 12,500!!! I am so proud of everyone who has chosen to sign and stand up for democracy against Mike Lee's personal agenda.  Well done everyone!  We did it together, so many people have chipped in to promote the petition and have shared online in order for us to accomplish this goal. 12,500 signatures represents 2.18% of Mike Lee's total vote in 2022, what a major step toward awareness and better integrity in leadership.  We are so grateful for the support you have all given us to reach this goal, we can make big change when we use our voices in unison!

In response to meeting the goal of 12,500 signatures, we have written a letter to send to the US Senate seeking for the censure and expulsion of Senator Mike Lee due to his extremist rhetoric surrounding the political violence against Minnesota politicians.  We will be sending this letter along with the printed list of the signatures of this petition to the US Senate to celebrate this moment and continue the work.

You and I know that it is just another day in the life of an internet provocateur like Mike Lee.  For us in the real world these social media comments have real repercussions.  Later the next day there was gun violence carried out on the streets of SLC...there is still an ongoing investigation and we do not know how the chips will fall and even still no words of calm or actions of peace from Mike Lee for his constituents.  Still no apology from Lee or actions of accountability for Mike Lee from the Senate.  The latest of his comments made on X have endured an entire week in the news cycle - which is to say something.  Not so many things can hold attention any duration in the current news time line.  This illustrates the people of Utah and the in-fact the nation are fed up with far right extremism.  We are done with Mike Lee's lack of deference to the US Constitution and his constituents.

Thank you again for joining the fight for better governance.  We will be posting the letter in a future update so that you may all read it and we will inform you about the next goal in store.  For now let us all celebrate this first step toward victory, 12,500!!!! Please contact your senators today and call for the censure and expulsion of Mike Lee.  Continue tell friends and share the petition demanding Mikes resignation.
