Wow! What a great week!!! We are one signature away from 1,500, thank you everyone for the support and the sharing.  Continue to share with friends and contact Senator Mike Lee and tell him how you feel and what you demand from representation.  As we move forward it is incumbent on us all to participate in and claim democracy.  Thank you to all who have donated funds to change.org for promotion of the petition, every action is making a difference.  You are all making a difference!

As we work toward the goal of 12,500 signatures I have come across some very important information regarding a citizen led initiative. We have been speaking with our local Political Science Professor.  They have informed us we cannot use a citizen led initiative to remove Mike Lee from office.  The reasoning behind this is; a state initiative cannot be used against a federal office, to do so would be unconstitutional.  This would be antithetical to our values so we must pivot and find another way.  What we can do is petition the United States Senate for any number of actions holding Mike Lee accountable.  We're still looking into the logistics and the scope of such a project. For now we will continue to our goal of 12,500 signatures.  We will post another update when we have mulled the options and will announce the actions we will be undertaking to further hold him accountable.  We are firmly committed to this endeavor and we will not stop.
