Hello Everyone,

So Excited to announce that we have achieved over 500 signatures this morning!  Keep promoting the petition as we're continuing to gain momentum and remember to visit the change.org petition page, and read and like the comments.  Thanks to all of you who are promoting, you are making a difference.  I see you Reddit, Facebook and in person with the QR code!

The long term goal for this petition is to gain enough momentum and signatures to then launch a citizen-led ballot initiative to remove Mike Lee from office and obtain real leadership for Utah.  This endeavor has many moving pieces that I am wrapping my brain around, so more info on this later.  As for the immediate goal of signatures for this petition to trigger the next phase, 125,000 people would be nearly 3.5 percent of the total population of Utah.  3.5% is generally regarded as the ratio of people needed to affect change.  Let's shoot for 12,500 to start working on filing a citizen-led ballot initiative.  12,500 is also enough to begin to get Mikes attention along with Senator John Curtis and the congressional representatives.  This larger goal to get the attention of all our federal representatives is what prompted this petition in the first place.  However, as we reach 12,500 we won't stop we will keep going because this petition is a public signal that is invaluable advertising.  Utah has seen recent momentum surrounding the referendum on the authoritarian maneuver by Governor Cox to end collective bargaining of public employees in our state.  This makes me think that we can harness the energy of change that is in the ether of this moment.  Gaining enough support from the public to kickstart an initiative and diligence among us to do the footwork it will lead us to success. The short term goal is 700 signatures, we are fast approaching that with this new momentum!
