Immediate Call to Action

 

We call upon the people of the United States to stand in peaceful solidarity on Monday.

 

We are asking citizens, workers, students, faith communities, advocacy groups, and community organizations to participate in a voluntary national day of action to bring public attention to the conditions, policies, and detention practices at Delaney Hall and other facilities where concerns regarding human rights and due process have been raised.

 

Our immediate demand is simple:

 

The leadership responsible for Delaney Hall, the relevant federal agencies, and elected officials with oversight authority must publicly address the concerns being raised by detainees, their families, advocates, and the public.

 

We demand:

 

- A public response to the allegations and concerns raised by detainees.

- Independent inspection and transparency regarding facility conditions.

- Public release of findings from any investigations or reviews.

- Meaningful access to legal representation and due process protections.

- A public meeting between facility leadership, community representatives, faith leaders, and affected families.

 

On Monday, we ask supporters to:

 

- Sign and share this petition.

- Contact elected officials and oversight agencies.

- Contact local and national media outlets.

- Attend peaceful public gatherings and demonstrations.

- Participate in voluntary economic action, including limiting non-essential spending where possible.

- Raise public awareness through community meetings, churches, campuses, workplaces, and social media.

 

This petition is directed to those responsible for overseeing detention policy and operations and to every public official entrusted with protecting constitutional rights, transparency, and human dignity.

 

Silence is not an answer. The public deserves a response. The people deserve accountability.
