Still no response to this petition from the Gentle Barn, but they did share an alarming update on their platforms this week, announcing that they’re in a financial crisis. They're urgently asking for donations, and in a donor email they specifically say that they may need to "potentially relocate animals to other Gentle Barn locations."

When they closed the Missouri location in October, they confidently said that the other locations were both "thriving," but just 9 months later, we can’t help but wonder if they are possibly considering closing the Tennessee location.

What if just as the MO animals are finally feeling settled, they might be uprooted again? Is the barn raising this money to fund the TN animals' transportation to California? Five animals died following the move from MO to TN—how many would die or be injured if TN closes down and they're hauled to CA in the middle of the summer?

Let them know that we care about every single animal in their care. When MO closed, there was only 2 days between the closure announcement and the final day of operation. If they have not yet taken accountability for the events in MO, we’re worried history will repeat itself, and possibly very soon.
