Call for a coronial inquest into Glen Hollands' death

Call for a coronial inquest into Glen Hollands' death
The issue
Our family is grieving the loss of Glen Hollands — the most genuine, kind-hearted, and loveable man. He was the heart of our family, a man whose energy lit up every room. The void his absence has left in our lives is indescribable. Glen was not just a beacon of joy for us, but a cherished friend to many whose lives he touched.
However, the truth about Glen's death is being kept from us. Instead of transparency, there have been secret hearings and injunctions placed on documents, blocking us from knowing what really happened. This lack of clarity not only deepens our heartache but also raises grave concerns about the circumstances surrounding his passing.
Under Queensland law, deaths that are unexplained or raise concerns about medical treatment or care should be investigated by the Coroner. We believe Glen’s death clearly meets this threshold — yet it has not been declared reportable. A few months after his death, significant new evidence has come to light that would make his death reportable under the Coroners Act.
We are calling on the Queensland Coroner to do what is just and necessary:
1. Deem Glen’s death a reportable death.
2. Hold a full coronial inquest.
This is not just about seeking justice for Glen but ensuring that no other family has to endure the same uncertainty and turmoil that we are currently facing. Every signature gets us one step closer to truth and transparency.
By signing this petition, you are joining us in the fight for justice and accountability. Please help us make a difference. Sign to support our call for a coronial inquest into the death of Glen Hollands.
