The Family Law industry has established for itself a special place in the judicial system where it predicates its authority and standing by placing itself above the law — or outside of its view.

The evidence of this is abundant and can be broken down case-by-case, stat-by-stat, incident-by-incident, bar-by-bar and Judge-by-Judge from New York to Florida, Maryland to California, Connecticut to Texas — ultimately encompassing all fifty states and across borders into many countries.

Divide And Conquer
The exploitation of people is derived from the players in the family law industry being acutely aware that in the majority of cases a parents love for their children is unconditional — whereby a father and mother will sacrifice and go to the ends of the earth to protect their relationship with them at all costs. Unfortunately for these parents the “costs” are defined by the players in the family law industry in terms of dollars and cents — not school plays, family outings and life events.

Many traverse these ordeals often seeing assets dwindle, savings dry up, and wages pillaged while trapped in a situation that is dependent upon these financial resources to protect their rights as parents. All this playing out while they are trying to maintain focus among a litany of adversarial actions from institutions and infrastructures where the players benefit not by your success, but rather your failure, within the system.

This puts so many good people in precarious situations, often having threats of contempt, jail and access to their children used as leverage if they do not comply with court orders and demands — often intentionally designed to be self-defeating. It is among such scenarios that you encounter one good parent after another losing their way — becoming beaten down by years of legal abuse within a broken system.

Sobering comments and cries for help often can be seen posted in support groups on social media and discussed at conferences, gatherings and in person meetings. This is where you find the cruel reality of what transpires, and what so many endure, where people use such forums as sounding boards in calling out the nightmarish situations they are facing to anyone who will listen — some having been pushed to places where the thought of ending their own life has been a reoccurring one.

Unfortunately one parent too many has succumbed to this, resulting in tragic circumstances that could have, and should have, been prevented. In a few situations some left behind notes with final words that are both chilling to read, in light of the circumstances they were written, but important for people to see in speaking to the severity of problems in family law and how it impacts parents — where all too often good people turn away and do nothing to prevent these situations.
