One of us met a Sikh elderly man with a beautiful looking big dog. That man shared that he got a visit by TCAS ACO some time ago before who was rude to him right away and threatened immediately to confiscate his dog over a "barking" complaint made by some neighbor (Caucasian). (At one point finally after overlooking many same incidents one of us had reported a dog running loose at night violating the leash laws and viciously barking at the person in person trying to attack. TCAS was so slow to respond and eventually did nothing on that and the incident kept repeating. Obviously that family had no fear of TCAS ACOs because they probably were not seriously talked to or given any written warning even.)
Anyways this Sikh family's dog looked happy, clean, healthy & not once barked when our team member met the dog & played with it. Dog can sometime bark as we all know it. The man said due to his accent, he felt that TCAS staff mistreated him but as soon as his US born adult son spoke to the ACO, they quickly retreated. This is another indication that TCAS will bully anyone who they find looks like a foreigner to them. This is also the reality that if a Caucasian person contacts TCAS for a situation, they often react quickly and if the complaint happens to be against a non Caucasian persons, they quickly mistreat them & want to take a drastic and severe punishment type recourse against them as this real incident projects. That is what TCAS has been doing and getting away with for decades as those incharge there are not diverse staff or volunteer members of our society.
This rescue story of pigeons is also important to drive a point home. Please visit and read the actual story where a man Hussain Mkhan rescued a whole bunch of abandoned pigeons in Fremont. TCAS lazy staff probably did not much to find that culprit. Unfortunately, Kelly Miott & none of the Animal Control staff did anything to catch them, yet this story pictures "Kelly Miott" & only few Caucasian ladies (we are sure they are wonderful persons to have helped but we are also sure if TCAS had recruited Asian or other races volunteers there they will have been wonderful too) who later accommodated those pigeons. Mr. Hussain Mkhan and Cynthia (not Caucasian) are "undermined" by not even being pictured for great efforts they put in to catch & foster them. Look what the faces of "volunteers" are at TCAS in this picture on that link. How diverse are they? Not at all!! Kelly Miott surrounds herself with who, only Caucasian women like her?
Thank you Mr. Hussain Mkhan (sounds like a Muslim name) and Cynthia (Asian) for caring to help those birds. It is noteworthy that most media and Caucasians often seem to undermine the efforts of non Caucasians .
Kelly Miott is simply egocentrically racist staff in defiance to help Victoria because someone non Caucasian is trying to get it help. Why if she could run around to take in and help 17 feral rescue pigeons (when TCAS does not even run a wildlife center but Ohlone Humane Society does who seems to have not helped these pigeons in poor shape; not surprising) that needed treatment, fostering & adoption that she has such a BIG issue to not help one (1) cat Victoria when she was reported & she remains unwilling to help her for NO VALID CAUSE and defying the state laws.

Look at TCAS available adoptable cats page on their website who does not even have a few cats on there. So many cats are out there suffering but TCAS just want to do little to nothing to help them.
The kittens will be coming in March of 2022 and then this shelter will turn away public finding kittens letting the kittens be released unhelped and die suffering or people having to lie and overburden other shelters saying it is from their jurisdiction. Great TCAS, don't do your jobs and overburden other shelters and their staff and force public to lie just trying to help animals and then harass those people for it.
This pigeons rescue story also depicts that often rescuers end up having more than their share of animals or birds, since it seems like TCAS can never handle rescuing all kinds of birds, cats, dogs rabbits etc. on their own anyways, especially with a handful of staff there and always being under staffed & by choice having not enough volunteers even.
Kelly Miott did not go around harassing these pigeon rescuers luckily and thank God, Hussain or Cynthia, as some other Caucasian rescue group was involved there later, for admittedly having their homes filled with birds. Why then she targetted us for temporarily helping some feral trap neuter and return (TNR) cats asking them to be licensed after refusing to take or help them? Does Fremont code allows pigeon rescuers to have more than 4 birds per household? There are regulations or codes in Fremont for having birds too.
TCAS has allowed Caucasian cat rescuers to have a house full of cats in contrast living there in filthy state. Union City Animal Control and TCAS has allowed a Caucasian cat lady to have 100+ cats. Her neighbors know it. Some have complained of it to no avail. It is because UCAC has called on that lady to take cats/kittens from them. This goes to show you that these officials pass on cats to a cat possible hoarding home knowingly. That is beyond hoarding cats and got to be health and safety and animal laws violation. We know many persons and neighbors admitting knowing and seeing so many cats at that cat lady's home. This shows again when some Caucasians violate the codes how Caucasians officials easily overlook it. Many who knows that cat lady Michelle knows she has real issue letting go of these cats. TCAS is not helping 100 cats at one time mostly.
Another story of possible ugly reality of public racism .
This is a story about Caucasian family desiring to keep their lovely goats with them. We know how it feels to lose beloved pets and would hope these pet goats stay with their owners and are not traumatized by being relocated after years. Caucasian ACO Niccols and Manager Kelly Miott quickly jumped up and made exceptions to allow this family more time and educational exemption even to find legal ways of changing the code to be able to keep their pets. This is a the same shelter and staff rushing to be rude and threatened to confiscate a Sikh family's dog over some "barking".
Hoards of Caucasian names appeared signing the petition of this Caucasian family for just understandably wanting to keep their goats whereas those same Caucasian names have not rushed to help poor suffering Victoria and protest the abuses of TCAS and Kelly Miott. That is another reality and racism in its ugly form. The experts say that Caucasians are too slow to admit or acknowledge of racism if it involves their own kind.
It is about the animals people. Racism showing up even in that arena to help innocent animals is sad.
So for so many Caucasian folks it is important to show support for someone to keep their pet goats, but it is not important enough for them to care about the suffering TCAS put Victoria through, harassment they engage in of non Caucasians and their denial to access TCAS? That is the reality of racism we or what and others supporters here who have signed this petition are not going to stand up for.
