Dear friends: ---an now is Baltimore Region, Maryland. An average of 6 inches of rain in 2 hours and in some spots within that region 10 inches of rain in 3 hours. "Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency for Elliott City Sunday evening via twitter. Flooding on Main Street in Elliott City swelled to the point that it almost reached the top of a stop sign, The Baltimore Sun reports. THE AREA WAS STILL WORKING TO RECOVER AFTER BEING DEVASTATED BY FLOODING IN 2016 (They do not seem to have prepared for a recurrence of the 2016 flooding. NO CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION) Water peaked at levels higher than in historic flooding that killed two people and submerged the city in 2016." This just happened in an area of Maryland pretty close to Washington D. C. No place is safe from Climate Change. Are you ready to act?
