Vaginal mesh has emerged as one of the most scandal prone medical devices in recent years. It has cost huge  device companies like Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson and many others millions of dollars in lawsuit fees. Boston Scientific recently paid $100 million in damages in a single injury case. Despite Caldera having 100 million dollar in defective product lawsuits facing them,they have launched a new product Vertessa Lite that was recently FDA approved. FDA approved  a 510 K clearance for it's next generation Vertessa Lite Polypropylene Mesh  for treating pelvic organ prolapse. Caldera Medical Inc. knew that their mesh implants exhibited a high rate of failure and complications, which often required multiple surgeries and failed to properly or timely warn patients and the medical community about this risk. They have a class action  lawsuit against them Case number 2:15 -cv-00393 in the U.S District Court for the Central District Of California. They have claimed to be solvent , however they should have to be required to have enough coverage through their insurance policy in case this human experiment went wrong. There was a failure to have capitalized and insure the medical devices manufactured by Caldera Medical Inc.  Caldera in my opinion never intended to honor their agreements after entering tolling agreements with their attorneys. Caldera wants the victims to accept pennies on the dollar and we pretend this never happened. The truth is we will live with this foreign material in our body for the rest of our life. We deserve justice, it's far much more personal than just monetary damages we deserve to be heard and to make sure this never happens again. Perhaps Caldera should have to sign an agreement to compensate the victims with their future sales. U.S Judge V. Wilson a California federal judge has approved Federal Insurance Company  proposed 12.25 million settlement agreement ,which will resolve thousands of insurance claims alleging Caldera Medical Inc's transvaginal mesh implant caused injuries in more than 4,000 women. Federal Insurance agreed to distribute 10.58 million among 4,000 claimants. Claimants have to agree to release Caldera and Federal Insurance from all future claims. Judge Wilson himself stated that although Caldera's medical liability is estimated at a staggering 100 million, 12.5 million is all that's left from the company's insurance policies. That due to their negative liquidation value they would not be required to provide more money for the plaintiffs. My issue here is how Caldera can be financially negative, however produced a new pelvic mesh Vertessa Lite? Perhaps Judge V. Wilson should not allow Caldera to profit one dime until every claimant has been fully paid for their injury. The class settlement is giving those victims that had no surgery or less than two surgeries 3,000 or less depending on the degree of injury. Some victims a $500 check, a huge insult to injury. These products caused we the victims extreme pain, erosion of internal bodily tissue, dyspareunia, painful scarring, bowel obstruction, perforations of the bowel, bladder or blood vessels, urinary leakage, vaginal bleeding, vaginal pain with intercourse, vaginal infections, abdomen pain, lower back pain, pressure of  protrusion through the vagina and other injuries. We will be forced to live with this defective product in our organs. A lot of victims were denied a surgery for removal due to how it was embedded into their vaginal walls and tissue so deeply it would risk death, infection etc.  I am prayerful the Lord will lay upon your heart to help us seek fair justice for the innocent victims. Be the voice for women who are bedridden, no longer can drive, work, raise a family or enjoy life. Women inserting Lidocaine  daily to get relief for even just a moment. Women's marriages that have dissolved or suffering due to the absence of their sex life. Imagine if it were your loved ones, wife, daughter, mother how would you feel then?
