Hi everyone, here is an update on Cairns Regional Council's foolish and harmful program to evict the Endangered (critically endangered by scientific criteria) Spectacled Flying Foxes (SFFs) from Cairns City Library Nationally Important Camp -

Day 104 and the SFFs are returning each morning in greater numbers than at any time over the past 104 days.  They are attempting to reform their maternity camp.  But Council continues to evict them and stress them with LRAD machines and other devices even while SFF mums are giving birth in the trees.

On Tuesday there were four abandoned SFF pups as the mums had been frightened away.  When we tried to unite them the following morning, Council would not even stop for a few hours.  They continued with their LRAD dispersal-eviction.
