Hello Supporters. It's July 21. I've been away for a couple of weeks digging into how CalTrans works, trying to find out what CalTrans would need in order to accept this petition, and collecting signatures. I have not received a response from my last email to the CEO of California Animal Welfare Association, and I will be sending her another email today. We need the backup of large organizations that work towards animal rights and welfare. This petition is somewhat different in the fact that it serves closure to owners who have missing pets and it may help in the return of those deceased pets to their love ones and the home they cherished. It is a worth while endeavor. After three months of searching, my cat Shadow was found. The searching is over and I have peace knowing I have laid her to rest. I wish things would have turned out differently and she was found alive, but she is now home and that's so much better than constantly wondering where she is. Thank you for your support and I will keep working to get CalTrans to scan for microchips. Please share this petition with all pet lovers.
