Dear Supporters, June 23. It's nice to see that we have over 9,000 views on this petition. We still have a long way to go.  CalTrans is a huge organization.  It's like a small government.  They have twelve Districts through out California, and each district encompasses two to eleven counties.  Each county may have numerous substations and each substation can have dozens of employees.  At the top is the Director of the Department of Transportation, then CalTrans at the state level has an Acting Director, Chief Deputy Director, and a list of 62 individuals in the governing "organizational chart".  Then, each District has it's own District Director and a list of personnel in the governing jobs.  Then there are those CalTrans employees we see most often, the drivers, construction crews, road crews, etc.  It won't be easy to get this small government to change their ways and add a small tasks to the job list.  BUT CalTrans needs to scan for microchips in pets who have fallen victim to highways and freeways. Your help is needed. Please give your support to this petition.
