Today is May 12.  I spent this day taking petitions to every Veterinarian and pet hospital in three towns.  Everyone at those services were unaware that CalTrans did not scan for microchips in deceased cats or dogs found on highways and freeways.  Most were shocked that CalTrans did not perform this simple effort.  Awareness is a goal of this important petition.  People need to know that CalTrans lacks this protocol.  People need to know that this is something that CalTrans can fix.  I will do as much as I can to get this information out.  I need YOUR help in telling your friends, relatives, coworkers, and neighbors.
