I don't know where Change.org got that I am from L.A. -- I've lived in San Diego since 2001. But our Petition is popping up in news stories -- the biggest so far is in today's San Diego Union-Tribune: "Some citizens are calling for even harsher measures. A change.org petition started by a Los Angeles woman calls for the state attorney general to launch a criminal negligence investigation into Mayor Kevin Faulconer. It had garnered roughly 500 signatures by Saturday afternoon. "The Attorney General’s Office did not respond to an inquiry about the petition, and the mayor’s office declined to comment." The difficulty of civil litigation is discussed at length due to government immunity. But that doesn't apply in criminal prosecution.
