Sep 27, 2016 — You guys. Wow. Maya and I are beyond shocked with how much attention our little petition has received. We are so grateful to those of you who voiced your opinions to us, whether or not they align with our own. We have come in contact with the owner of the flag, and he has respectfully declined to take it down. However, we are continuing to work with our fellow students and staff to address this issue in the most appropriate way possible.
We would like this movement to continue to receive as much support as possible. So, if you're willing, continue to spread this post so we can further our cause and expand our support base. Additionally, if you are wanting to donate money to our cause so this petition can gain further exposure, feel free to click the "Promote this Petition" button at the bottom of our post.
Tune into BYU 11 News tomorrow as Maya and I will be on the program further updating everyone on our cause and addressing the controversy our movement has sparked.
Again, thank you all so much for being involved in our work here. We truly could not have done it without you!
