Farewell Anquan Boldin

The top wide receiver on the 49ers has officially found a new home with the Detroit Lions. Despite being one of the key leaders that remained on a newly tarnished SF roster, Anquan Boldin was put on the back burner by Jed York and Trent Baalke. Aside from being a beloved member of the team, and the recipient of The 2015 Walter Payton Man of Year Award, what makes 49ers fans more furious is that the team was already low on wide receivers prior to the departure of Boldin and even tight end Vernon Davis. Despite hanging onto what little receivers they had left, neither York or Baalke felt the need to keep a veteran presence that can lead what was left of the 49ers Offense. As 2016 approaches, the season begins to grow darker and darker as York and Baalke continue to inhabit the front office. So far, none of the right moves have been made to make the 49ers even look like the team they once were three years ago. In recent news, the key culprit in the 49ers demise, General Manager Trent Baalke, is reportedly on thin ice with the CEO (York). But must The Niner Faithful sit through a whole season to wait for the right thing to happen? If the 49ers were to win even just fifty percent of their games, Baalke would still keep his job hence potentially continue to make more of the decisions that led the team implode in the future. If York truly cared about the future of the team like his uncle (and This Year's NFL Hall of Fame Winner for Best Owner) Eddie DeBartolo has, he would not wait to fire Baalke. The decision should have been made once the 2015 season was over, and the 49ers only had five wins out of sixteen games. If York was even half the business man his uncle would not sit through the entire 2016 season to make the right call. This man claims that he is just as passionate, if not more than passionate, as the 49ers fan base. However, he has proven to be the furthest thing from such. He fired Jim Harbaugh, the best coach the 49ers had in over twenty years, without even keeping his eyes on anyone who is just as qualified as he was. As of now, Harbaugh now is the head coach of The University of Michigan Football and posted a 10-3 record and demolished The Florida Gators (Score: 41-7) in the most recent Citrus Bowl. Neither the fans nor the players should wait for York to do what is right. They do not deserve a team owner that continues to take them for granted either. I know it has been a long time since I have updated this petition, but please spread the word to fellow fans and maybe we will get the attention of Larry Ellison, a man who actually knows how to run a business and give the people what they need.
