Let's Build CityPlace Burlington!

Let's Build CityPlace Burlington!
The Issue
Our New Local Partnership and Project Team Needs Your Support!
This new partnership places this project back into the hands of our community. Scott Ireland, Al Senecal, and myself have successfully completed thousands of projects in Vermont — by joining with Don Sinex, and with our collective resources and know-how, we are ready to move forward, build this project, and re-energize our community!
The new building permit application includes additional housing, a reduced overall height, and other improvements. We want to break ground as soon as possible to bring these much-needed benefits to our City:
- A redesigned LEED® Gold certified build, using renewable energy and comprehensive stormwater treatment.
- More downtown housing: 426 new apartments, including 84+ affordable units.
- 422 parking spaces and additional bike parking.
- New street level retail, office space and service businesses for residents, visitors and tourists.
- Reconnecting Pine and St. Paul Streets to Cherry Street.
- 2,000-3,000 square feet of community space.
- Broader sidewalks, new bike lanes, a larger green belt with new trees.
- More pedestrian-friendly spaces.
- Improved transportation options and reconnected neighborhoods.
From the beginning of this project, we have worked with City Leaders, residents and business owners to fundamentally transform Burlington—rebuilding neighborhoods and revitalizing the community to provide a new and vibrant space for everyone to thrive in the heart of downtown. If the project is delayed, it will likely be impossible for all of the above benefits to be realized. We know that we can get this done!
If you, like we do, believe this will benefit our City and would like to work together to improve our community, please consider signing and sharing our virtual petition to share your support for our breaking ground as soon as possible.
Lastly, we’d greatly appreciate it if you reach out to your friends, family and neighbors, and express your support for this project. Spread the word and help us share why Burlington deserves a vibrant, prosperous, and sustainable downtown!
Sincerely,
Dave Farrington
