Burger King and Tim Horton's have been destroying the rainforest in order to raise cattle for beef production. This is having a significant effect on the amount of 'greenhouse gas' emissions released into the atmosphere every year, because not only is Burger King cutting down trees to make room for the ever expanding cattle industry, but also the methane gas released from cattle emissions also significantly impacts our atmosphere. This is such a big deal because the Brazilian rainforest in the last 20 years alone, has lost almost 80% of its original size. This is also a completely 100% reversible problem, because cattle can be farmed nearly anywhere else in the world, and do not have to be farmed in the area that has the highest concentration of above-water plant life to help reverse the 'greenhouse effect'. All companies that farm cattle in the Brazilian rainforest's lands are to blame for this, but companies such as McDonald's and Wal-Mart are making efforts to begin reversing the damages that have been done, while Burger King has done absolutely nothing to even begin reversing the damages. The goal of this is to make Burger King an example, and get the ball rolling for all companies to begin moving out of Brazil and allow the rainforest to take back its land.
*Disclaimer* By signing this petition you agree to no longer buy beef products from neither Burger King, or Tim Hortons.
