This project has tree work, sidewalk repair, and tree replanting happening at various times and on different blocks. Here is the latest on each type of work currently happening.
Tree work (pruning, removals and stump grinding)
· Crews are finishing work on the north side of 24th Street between Florida and Harrison streets
· On these two blocks, one tree has been pruned and five total trees have been removed
NEXT:
· Starting today, March 31, crews will begin work on the north side of 24th Street between Harrison and Folsom streets
· Starting Monday, April 5, crews will begin work on the north side of 24th Street between Folsom Street to South Van Ness Avenue
· If interested in wood from the trees being removed along these blocks or from any blocks along 24th Street, contact urbanforestry@sfdpw.org as soon as possible to arrange for pick up. Pieces range from firewood size to log size.
Sidewalk Repair
· Crews are finishing work on the north side of 24th Street between Hampshire and York streets
NEXT:
· Starting today, March 31, crews will begin work on the north side of 24th Street between York and Bryant streets
· Starting Monday, April 5, crews will begin work on the north side of 24th Street between Potrero Avenue and York Street
Tree Replanting
· Will begin along the north side of 24th between Potrero Avenue and York Street as soon as all sidewalk work is complete
