As Destiny 2 is moving to steam, it would be a logical next step to support Steam Play / Proton Wine for running Destiny 2 on Linux.

The Battle.net version of the game had been reported by many users on reddit to run flawlessly on Linux. These users were permanently banned for attempting to do so.

Now that the game has moved to Steam it no longer runs at all on Linux. It is inevitable that Valve's developers improve Proton support so that Destiny 2 will run.

As Destiny 2 is also going to be on Google's Stadia service, Bungie will be developing some kind of Linux port. It would be lovely if they allowed Linux users to use this.
