Das Problem
Kampf um Demokratie in Lebensgefahr.
Seit 3 Jahren fordern die Menschen im Sudan eine Demokratie. Für das Ende der Militärdiktatur besetzen Millionen Sudanesen und Sudanesinnen, trotz der sowieso schon schlimmen Lage, die Straßen. Wir, als junge Sudanesinnen in Deutschland, wollen auch ein Teil davon sein. Junge Menschen in unserem Alter bringen sich täglich für ihr Land, die Demokratie und ihre Freiheit in Gefahr. Militärs und Milizen haben mit dem Militärputsch vom 25. Oktober 2021 die Macht aus den Händen der zivilen Übergangsregierung entrissen und schlagen Proteste und Streiks gewaltvoll nieder. Dies hat, allein in den letzten 3 Monaten, das Leben von ca. hundert Menschen gekostet und Entführungen, Verletzungen und Vergewaltigungen verursacht.
Es droht aktuell immer brutaler zu werden.
Die Unterdrückung der Demokratiebewegung liegt auch im Interesse nordafrikanischer Diktatoren, z.B. Ägyptens As-Sisi, denen die Verbreitung der demokratischen Idee im Weg stehen würde.
Der neue Einfluss russischer Söldnertruppen zeigt wie dringend die friedlichen Zivilisten im Sudan Unterstützung gegen die Diktatur benötigen.
Jegliche Kompromisse mit der Militärregierung sorgen nur für die Rückkehr der korrupten, diktatorischen Zustände.
Der Einsatz der internationalen Gemeinschaft für die Menschenrechte, die Demokratie und den Frieden ist jetzt gefragt.
Da darf man nicht mehr wegschauen!

Risking lives in the fight for democracy.
For 3 years the people of Sudan have been peacefully demanding democracy.
Millions of Sudanese civilians occupy the streets, marching for the end of the military dictatorship.
As young Sudanese people who live in Germany, we want to be a part of this revolutionary movement.
Everyday people our age risk their lives for their country, their freedom and democracy.
On the 25th of October 2021 the military and militias have taken over the power from the transitional civilian government and violently suppress any form of protests and strikes.
This has already cost the lives of about a hundred people, caused kidnappings, injuries and rapes, in the last three months alone.
It’s about to get even worse and more brutal.
The suppression of the democracy movement is also in the interest of North African dictators, such as Egypts As-Sisi, who feel threatened by the spreading of the demand for democracy.
The intervention of Russian mercenary troops contribute to the fact that the peaceful Sudanese protestors need support against the dictatorship.
Any compromises with the military government would only bring back corruption and tyranny.
Actions from the international community in the fight for human rights, democracy and peace are needed now.
