Abandoned?

That's the question I keep coming back to.

Southend Council had the evidence. Witness statements. Photos. Emails. They knew about:

· A vulnerable elderly gentleman, not far off 100 years old, isolated so a committee could take his plot
· Disabled plot holders struggling to keep up, threatened with eviction without anyone asking about their health
· Homophobic harassment ignored
· The AGM cancelled – no elections for over a year

The council did nothing.

At Rochford Road Allotments (by Southend Airport), vulnerable people with disabilities are being pushed out of their only hobby.

Plot inspections every 6 weeks. Constant anxiety. The fear of losing their plot – and their friends – because they can't manage to move quickly enough.

280 local residents have signed. We need 500.

The Ombudsman has reopened my case. But the council is still watching. If enough of us speak up, they will have to listen.
